Experience Primus Elite® Advanced Features
Primus Elite Advanced Features (PEAF) include a Synthetic Vision System (SVS) display, which provides 3-D color images of runways, terrain, and obstacles, giving pilots a clear view of the virtual flight path. This increased level of situational awareness is particularly useful when flying to unfamiliar locations, in bad weather, or at night (see video below), reducing errors and pilot workload.
In addition to SVS, Primus Elite also adds METARs and TAF to new XM Weather overlay selections on Moving Map display. And TCAS symbology is now displayed as an additional overlay on the enhanced moving map display.
Primus Elite upgrade increases Aircraft Blue Book value.
Your investment in full Primus Elite (PEEF) (not including Advanced Features) may provide significant savings during the first three years of about $165K through lower cost of operation:
Year One - full year Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP) = $45K
Years Two and Three - $10K off HAPP each year = $20K
Lower hourly HAPP rate following year three
Years One - Three - Weight savings of 50 lbs (average suite) and paper weight savings of 50 lbs saves about $100K* in fuel cost
*Actual fuels saving depends on a number of factors including aircraft type, actual weight difference, flight hours per year, etc.
Speaking of savings - operators can now take advantage of new 100 percent tax write-off for component upgrades.
